Hi and welcome to the forum. Orion's nebula (M42 & M43) never disappoints and will always spend some time during my observations to remind myself how luck we are to have these deep sky objects so close at hand. As you are using binoculars, you might want to have a look at a book entitled "Turning Left At Orion" which is a very useful guide to objects that can be viewed with the naked eye, binos and small scopes. Not the cheapest guide to buy I will confess but the amount of information on the objects and how to find them etc gives a great deal of value for money. To further help you find objects, you might like to take a look at "Stellarium" here. It is free, easy to use with plenty within it to keep you going when the clouds come in.
