Just like to say hello to everybody on this forum, I've just bought a Tal 100rs and it's been cloudy since it arrived. Only thing I've looked at is a couple of lamp posts and a pylon !!

Weather's not been that good for us, last couple of months. Hopefully the clouds will stay away long enough for us to get a few good nights seeing. Stick with it, it'll be well worth it.

Hi and welcome to the forum. So you have already spotted the constellation "filamentus street lightus" a very popular constellation for those of us 'fortunate' to live in a city and is the only constellation that has only one star - a huge orange super giant!

Weather can be a pain although recently I have noticed that the only clear nights have been when the moon is at its brightest - bit of a problem if you like deep sky objects but not if like me you like the moon. Very good scope by the way as the russians certainly know how to make great optics.
