Hi all,

Just dropping by to say hello and to introduce myself.

My names Jon and I used to be into astronomy about 15 years ago. Back then I had a Celestron 9.25 sct on an old German equatorial mount. I've been bitten by the bug again and i'm looking for a new telescope to go observing again.

I've been using my girlfriends Meade DS 2090 lately Burr want something a bit more professional with out silk being portable. My budget is about £800.

Any advice would be must welcome.

Hi Catweazel,

I'm after something bigger than the 2090 but still portable enough to be transported to darker sites if need be. I had a sct years ago and found it really good. I've Bern looking at the Chesterton Nexstar range lately.
