LMC and Orion.

[RAC]

These were a bit of a test with the Canon 200mm f2.8L and the use of an external aperature mask to help keep diffraction spikes down. I just modified a lens cap and these were shot with a 45mm hole, i started with 55mm but needed smaller to stop the spikes.

Orion.

15x5min subs @ ISO1600 + 10 darks.

Modded 1000D.

Speechless - they are incredible. Any chance of a link to a larger (wallpaper sized version) - something in the region of 1900x1200 - big ask I know, but I`m very high maintainence!

A couple of great images, the focus is spot with really nice tight stars to the corners.

The dust surrounding Orion is showing up really well and the LMC and it's emission nebulae look superb
