Arrrghhh.... it makes my lunar pictures look a tad inferior.

I wonder what size the potato-shaped boulder is on top of the plateau?

By my reckoning (and this just taking by 1440x900 and a tape measure) @ 162m X 129m; just a bit of fun so dont quote me

This was APOD a day or two back. Amazing image.

The scale is 1.5m/pixel, so count the pixels for the rock and then multiply by 1.5 to get its size in metres.

pretty spectacular indeed... it was APOD yesterday (6th july) i was so taken by it that i searched for the original - the zoom feature on this is SO much better than the APOD site - glad you folk like it as much as i do.
