Hi all.

I'm new around here and to astronomy in general although I have been reading everything I can get my hands on since being given a Celestron Astromaste 130EQ for my 33rd just before summer.

I spread myself between the West coast of Scotland (Inverclyde) and the central belt (near Motherwell) but haven't had a chance to get out and use it mainly due to the weather, the short days and not knowing anywhere local to setup (My back garden is useless for seeing anything but the neighbours security lights or the street lights.)

Hopefully as it's getting darker I can find somewhere away from lights and neds I can get out over the next few months when I've holidays coming up :)

I'm kind of quiet on most forums but hopefully I'll be able to contribute and learn on here, Gav.
