  1. Captured using my CPC with FireCapture, processed using AS!3, ImPPG and PS.
  2. You would be better off using your green filter.
  3. FireCapture to capture, AS!3 to stack and Registax to sharpen.
  4. Or you could always try all the data here on SGL in the retailer IKI observatory section !!!!!!
  5. Nice to see these and your earlier Saturn, though I think I will leave it a month or so before I drag myself out of bed to image these.
  6. Bit of a low FR for a Quark but no reason why you shouldn't give it a go.
  7. Great shots Neil. Didn’t get a chance to image that one myself.
  8. Rain has stopped play here so been catching up on some processing. Seeing wasn't great on the 14th so happy that I have managed to process this out of the captures, most of which went straight into the bin. Now to process the Ha from last Tuesday.
  9. Looking good. Seeing was complete pants here. Haven't even bothered to process what I captured yet as my expectations are low. Nice to see what it should look like.
  10. Shame conditions aren't better at the moment but good to see you exercising your inner Blue Peter!!!!
  11. My experience with the 174 is that lower gain gives better results so I operate at around 100. If I remember correctly, unity is just under 200 so you may want to experiment at lower gain to see what you get. As you say, unity is somewhere to start but there is nothing special about unity so it is just a starting point.
  12. Thanks but why specifically unity gain? Go a bit higher than unity and your exposure will be even shorter. So why unity rather than a gain setting that gives a good compromise between exposure and noise? Thanks
  13. Why unity gain? What is the reasoning for that?
  14. Nice, particularly the Cak
  15. Thanks Sunshine. Great name for the solar section.
  16. Nice job given the conditions you were fighting.
  17. Conditions not on your side there Neil but good to see another shot from you.
  18. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm using a full aperture Baader D-ERF on my scope. Another from the same session
  19. Captured on the morning of the 9th before the clouds rolled in.
  20. Very nice. Your best yet definitely.
