  1. Nice shot. That spot is getting close to the edge (if there is an edge to a sphere!!!) now. Like Dave, only clouds for me too.
  2. This is the hi res to add to the low res I recently posted
  3. Took this on the afternoon of 16th. Only my second imaging session in a year as most of my kit has been in storage whilst moving house. Will now have a look at the high res images I took at the same time but high res is so much harder so will have to see how they come out.
  4. A couple of nice images there. Good job. I really must find time to process what I caught yesterday.
  5. Nice series. I captured that arching prom in Ha so will be interesting to see how they compare.
  6. Nice capture, I do like a bit of WL which I think is often underrated compared to Ha.
  7. I use an AR152 for my solar imaging with a Quark and think it performs very well. Not imaged for a while as have been moving house but you will find some shots from last year in the solar imaging section.
  8. Hello and welcome to SGL. There are plenty of people who can help so just post a question in the appropriate section of the forum and you are sure to get plenty of help.
  9. No, but the F ratio is.
  10. I agree that spacing isn't important and WOW that is expensive. My Rowan unit is a third of that price.
  11. My Moonlite has a clutch thingy so you can disengage the motor and just use the focuser manually. I assume other makes are similar but only have experience of Moonlite.
  12. Jpeg is not a good format as it is compressed and has lost data. Use a format that isn't compressed if your cam is able. 100 pics will allow you to sharpen tomsome degree so it will be worth it. No ideas what to use on a MAC though.
  13. I am not convinced by these as you are still moving the mirror. I think a focuser fitted to the visual back is better.
  14. Thanks for continuing to update this great bit of software.
  15. As said, just use the grabber and it will take all this subjective guesswork out of it!!
  16. If you use filter wheel runner it is stand alone so you don’t need to worry about cams and if you need the cam and the wheel operating together. That will then tell you if there is an issue with the wheel or just a software setup issue.
  17. Have you tried Bahtinov grabber? If not, give it a go, it takes the guesswork out.
  18. My EFW2 works fine on W10 through Artemis. Have you tried just the filter wheel runner?
  19. An image would be useful so we can see what you mean by fat.
  20. Atik say on their website it has been delayed and will not be available until the summer.
  21. Some context on why you want to do this and details on the cam proposed for this may help you get some replies.
  22. I like FireCapture, AS!3 for stacking and R6 for sharpening.
  23. A for me. Tighter stars, a little (but not too much) sharper generally and a touch more vibrance to my eye.
