  5. Richard You are a skilled artiste sir, wonderful images. I’ve seen many great images on this site and I am always amazed what these “amateur” astronomers can achieve. I think a few years ago we would need the HST to compete. I voted for the veil 😁 Good luck Thanks

  9. I’ve been looking into getting a ZWO AS224MC for planetary and Lunar photography. Question is what is the best software to use? Is there a consensus on what is the best out of Fire Capture and Sharp Cap? and is Registax best for processing? Any advice gratefully accepted Thanks
  10. Got out as well on a nice clear night, which I wasn’t expecting from the clear outside app. Too good to miss Didn’t bother with the finder scope as the Telrad has proven to be so accurate during the alignment process. just did solar system Lunar alignment which tracked perfectly. Just took these photos with my smart phone and various Baader Morpheus EPs, conditions were very good. Going to get a ZWOASI224MC for some more planetary photography. Cheers
  11. Got out last night on a nice clear night, which I wasn’t expecting from the clear outside app. Too good to miss! 🔭😁 I’ve got my system straight now for setting up, so I can open the back door and get everything outside and set up in about 15 minutes which I’m pleased with. The new eyepiece case is a real help with keeping everything in order. Thanks for sharing these very impressive pictures, looking forward to starting some planetary imaging myself in due course.

  16. Finally got my dew controller today from FLO. I’ve been helping to keep FLO afloat this year to such an extent that when the postman comes my Mrs says “It’s clouding over again” or “I think some more clouds are being delivered” without seeing what’s come 😂
  17. Lifting the CPC will keep me fit, so I should last another 20 years😁

  23. Just wondering, as we get near to being let out again, how far you all travel to your favourite dark site and how often? Also how much kit do you take? I think mine will be about a 30min drive. interested to hear. Thanks.
