  1. Hi, a little off topic but can I ask is your FS60 the C or CB version, as I am trying to find the back focus distance (from back of focuser housing to focus point) for the CB, as the system charts I have seen all contradict each other...I thought it was 151mm but have seen since itโ€™s 163mm, any thoughts..๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  2. Well at room temp, yes you have to expect that....๐Ÿค” Try it at -10 and if still the same then send it back...or buy a CCD... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  3. Yes I understand, but I would assume that itโ€™s hit its stop when the end of the slotted hole was hit...but maybe it would go in further...maybe @jock1958 can enlighten us...
  4. The MEF3 still looks a bit neater, and does not seem to protrude quite as far... But itโ€™s a good reduction on the price of the MEF3..๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  5. Yes I get that, I think on this new version the metal bracket is thicker, which was needed TBH, and there is a nylon washer so I think the original would be too short, the thread on this new brass one is a lot longer..๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  6. No need as it only needs to be finger tight...itโ€™s not taking any strain at all....
  7. RDP is on windows home too, itโ€™s just harder to find, but itโ€™s there....๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  8. Or just buy the cable for ยฃ15....๐Ÿ˜€
  9. I personally think Elon Musk is a much bigger threat to this hobby, than street lights....but I guess nothing we can do about that.... โ˜น๏ธ
  10. No, you donโ€™t need this, just buy a blank card, and then put Astroberry or Stellarmate on from scratch, thatโ€™s all you need.... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  11. This is the cable you need... https://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/pegasus-stepper-motor-cable-rj45-to-db9.html and here too...Altair Astro are out of stock... https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p12467_PegasusAstro-Stepper-Motor-Cable-RJ45-to-DB9-for-UPB-and-DMFC.html
  12. Mine looks the same as yours, but I have the rj45 connector on mine, which is the in between model...all so confusing..
  13. Thats the old version of the second image I sent. They just changed the look and the connector...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  14. Yes totally... you are not the first and wonโ€™t be the last to be confused by this...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  15. This is the focuscube, see the extra connections....but you DONT have this....
  16. Yes as I also said the same above, is correct....the focus cube should NOT be connected to the power box, but you donโ€™t have the focus cube, you just have the focus motor, (which is NOT called the cube) which does look like a cube but itโ€™s not the actual focuscube product....so you need the DB9 to rj45 cable, and the wiring diagrams are on the Pegasus site...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  17. I think you are getting the two mixed up, if you had it connected and working on your mount hub pro, then you only have the motor unit and NOT the focuscube...they are very different..
  18. If you have the focuscube, it has all the controller electronics inside it and is a stand alone unit, and MUST NOT be connected to the UPB, as it does not need to be. If you have just the Pegasus Motor this has no electronics inside and does need to be connected to the UPB focus controller
  19. Why are you confused...? Do you have just the standalone motor or full focuscube...?
  20. The wiring pinouts for the cable you need are on the Pegasus website. Donโ€™t get it wrong or you will fry the UPB...
  21. Yes, in fact it runs better if you put your kit into a USB powered hub, as the ports on the RPI are not very powerful...so itโ€™s recommended to use the hub, and yes the EQMOD INdI driver works fine, I use it all the time, with my EQ8 mount, and yes a game pad can be set up too... and yes to all the cables too.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
