  1. You seem to be doing far more than is needed for such a simple task, it should take two mins to sort...so you have something set up wrong somewhere, you should not even need to touch most of the settings you have been, it really is as simple as click and go...so I am guessing you have broken a setting somewhere along the line.... If you connect with a network cable as you have done, then it’s just as case of picking your network off the wifi list putting password in, and that’s it, disconnect from network cable reboot and it should connect to your Wi-Fi, that’s how it should work, and does for me...every time, so I think with all the different advice you have been given, something has got corrupted
  2. I think you are really confusing the OP, he is a complete beginner, and to say it does not have EQMOD software is just wrong, it has a perfect working EQMOD indi driver which is all he needs with his mount and AB, to use in Ekos, no need to mess with baud rates either, I use it all the time and have never touched the baud rate....all he needs it the EQMOD cable for his mount, and connect to port on the RPI, or into his hub....it’s simple and I think you are over complicating it for him to be honest....👍🏼😀
  3. You need a lower number in the priority it’s should be on 0 and the hotspot on -10 or similar... Yes they run EQMOD and you can use same leads, although RPI4 has USB 3 ports too....
  4. This is it, on my Hotspot I uncheck this box, then the hotspot only comes up when no other connection is available, the priority number does not always work as it should, hence this, then on your home wifi connection you have this box checked... so right click on wifi icon Edit connections click hotspot click edit button at bottom then general tab
  5. Yes, but there is another setting too besides that one....just wish I was at home to check it....☹️
  6. There is another setting you habe not mentioned, which i mentioned above a few mins ago, it makes the RPI use the wifi connection in preference to the hotspot, I am not at home so can’t look for the exact wording of the box that needs checking.... 👍🏼
  7. In the network settings where you changed to your home wifi, there is a box under one of the tabs that says, to always use this connection, or something similar, you need to check that under your home wifi connection, and uncheck it under the hotspot connection.....👍🏼
  8. Well that’s very good, as I use AstroFlat pro, I find it as good as gradient terminator, if not better....👍🏼
  9. After you have done this, rather than connect via the hotspot, the RPI will then connect to your home router and so as long as your PC is in same network you should be able to connect via the NoVNC in your web browser with the address Astroberry.local
  10. It’s really not an issue just pulling the power on AB and the RPI, they are built to be used like that...I just close down Kstars on mine and then shutdown AB via the main power me u and then pull the power plug....never had an issue, no need for an on / off switch... 👍🏼
  11. You do mean Affinity Photo when you say APP, and not Astro Pixel Proccessor...??
  12. It seems it has got PS plug-in capability.. below text taken from there web site.... Plug-ins Use 64-bit Adobe® Photoshop® compatible plug-ins Installed plug-ins are detected and checked for compatibility LAB plugin support Edit in 32-bit RGB documents Support is growing, more plug-ins to be supported over time
  13. Yes I have read it’s 163, but the diagram I posted above shows the CB version as 151....so am totally confused...🤔🤔 this one...
  14. Well, I was actually in talks with them for the last two weeks about having an Roll off roof built, they gave me a price which I agreed too, and so we went forward with the design and were throwing different ideas around....this went on for over a week, we agreed on the design and then he said he would give me the exact quote, when that came in it was over a £1000 more, he said he was sorry for mis quoting me at the start and being unrealistic, so completely wasted two weeks of my time, as I had already told him why my limit was at the start....and the design we agreed on was simpler than the one he quoted for originally....so was not happy at all......😡😡 So I was not impressed at all. Now, Home ObservatoryUK on the other hand is a better company, they quoted me over the phone, told me the price was valid for a few weeks and told me when they could fit it, and TBH it sounded a much more solid and better design. I was looking for a 7’ x 6’ ROR no warm room, it was purely just to house my scope, and Outsideology wanted £3500 without fitting ( as was happy to do myself) and Home ObservatoryUK wanted £3450 including fitting....and £2850 if I fitted myself.... https://www.homeobservatoryuk.com
  15. @GeekTeacher have you read this, it’s very good.. https://digitalstars.files.wordpress.com/2020/09/app-quick-start-guide-v1.1.pdf
  16. You can use APP for it all, I have done many times, it’s a bit more of a learning curve, and the tools are not as powerful as PI, but it can be done, and anyone who says that it can’t, does not know how to use APP, and to assume you can’t is just ignorant.... I agree, I would never pay for both and why would you, I use APP all the time, and on “some” images I do move to PS for a final levels and curves but that’s it, only because I have an old copy of PS and because on some images it’s easier..... these were done purely in APP, and I am fairly happy with them...
  17. Not arguing at all, for the sake of it, or otherwise, why would you even say that..?? just because I have the audacity to disagree, I know people on this forum don’t like that, I was just asking for your opinion on the subject....nothing more...
  18. So in your opinion what can’t APP do..? as in my opinion it’s the best out there for stacking and calibration....
  19. Hmmm, it is, it’s just not quite on par with PI...but it can all be done, to a certain level....👍🏼
  20. How long have you owned...? as there has been major updates that owners have not got....the last one was approx 2 years ago if memory serves....the best option is to rent.... 👍🏼
  21. Hi, I am looking at automation a pulsar dome, but I don’t want to spend the £1300 they are asking for the pulsar system, also I don’t need all the features that come with it, I am after just a simple motor system to drive the dome at sidereal rate, and maybe a hand control or similar to move manually when setting up...nothing fancy...is there anything out there....?? Thanks for looking
  22. I have bought a couple of items from the EU recently, and although slightly more expensive, not by much, I think the U.K. retailers have either seen an opportunity, or it purely down to Shipping costs...but as we all know, if and when people start to pay these higher prices, as they have no choice, the retailers ain’t gonna reduce them are they...I mean c’mon...why would they...it’s business at the end of the day...so I think we need to accept it, or find a new hobby....
  23. Yes, I noticed yesterday a certain well know secondhand dealer in Birmingham, his prices on eBay, and his site to a certain extent, have gone stupid...£180 for a celesteon f6.3 reducer / flattener.....😮😮😮😮😮
