  1. So is this a degenerative issue then Alan? Is it going to happen again in the future I wonder, or if it was a batch issue, for example?
  2. Woooaaa woooaaa woooaa, wooooaaa woooaa, woooaa woooa ah! Haha sorry Derek! No such luck for me & my new gear. Just spent the last 2hrs repairing the dishwasher! Harrumph.
  3. STOP..............Solar time Thanks to the team @FLO for another ultra rapido delivery!
  4. Oh no, Tele Vue have landed @FLO, now I'm doomed!

  5. Really fancying a C9.25, hmmm.........

  6. Kept postie busy over the last few days... 32mm plossl from @DRT, altair premium diagonal, 1.25" filter wheel, light blue & yellow planetary filters, DGM NPB and Astronomik OIII. Oh and one duff Baader prism diagonal which is already on it's way back to the vendor
  7. Very nice indeed @AdeKing, you have no idea how close I was to pulling the trigger on the Celestron!!!! Didn't make much sense having recently picked up the 120 though. Anyway, someone's got to ask it......which do you prefer !??
  8. Jupiter appears to be holding up reasonably well to high mag already. Shaping up for a nice transit :)

  9. Finder scope needs to go on the other side then. My OCD wouldn't allow it to stay where it is!
  10. I will report on the 62°. Searched high and low for reviews but like you say, none around.

  13. Very nice, I've been tempted by an opticastar scope for ages, but can't really justify one alongside my current frac! Though I do dancy a long white tube frac for solar.......
  14. It's been so long, I've forgotten which end of the scope to look down! Jupiter was begging last night, but the baby just doesn't understand :)

:bunny:Jupiter will always be there. Enjoy the little one's babyhood.

  15. The baby or the telescope? Haha, cheers Rich
  16. Nearly completed my equipment draw down to one all-purpose scope now. Here it is in a bit of a hybrid visual/imaging setup trying out my new ADM guidescope clamps. The clamps make removing the guidescope complete with guider quick and easy and I've made up two wiring looms, one for visual and the other for imaging. I hope to continue DSO imaging and have a crack at some planetary too. Received a Sky-Watcher reducer/flattener yesterday only to find it needs an M48 adapter not T2, which I already have - another purchase required! Boy have I spent enough on Astro this last 6 months! Still, sold a few bits on too, so recuperating some cost. Now I just need the baby to sleep through the night and the scope might actually get some use!
  17. Imaging tonight. M42 in Ha to come....

M42 is looking pretty good tonight, even despite the glare form the moon. Hope you get some good data. :)

Bad seeing here. Stars twinkling through murky moonlit air. My 100 will have to wait.

Good for you, hope your new direction goes well.

I am doing similar things, just bought a used Celestron AVX and a new ED80.

      Clear Skies, one day soon.

  24. How about the AZ GTi head only available separately?
  25. I'm pretty sure the answer to that will be a resounding yes Steve. I'm considering the AZ5 or AZ GTi for grab & go but would have to adapt either to fit my CG5 tripod which is overkill, requires the Berlebach adapter and requires chopping and changing scopes/mounts about. I'd be well up for an AZ GTi on the tripod you speak of as a package deal.
