  1. Have you tried doing a factory reset by pressing the 0 key while powering up the scope? Might help.
  2. Package from Auntie FLO arrived this morning. Took advice from SGL members here (thank you). Brought the AstroZap Baader Solar Filter instead of the Seymour Glass Filter, Just waiting for the Baader Solar Continuum Filter to arrive which was not in stock.
  3. Lovely pic Geof, mind blowing how many stars? Well done. I love studying photo's of globular/open clusters as these are what I see most with my setup. I have viewed M13, so will now try and view M14.
  4. I love the sound my NexStar 8se makes when it does it's auto align using StarSense. Yeah it would be loud to neighbours in the wee hours, but I play my bugle to cover up the sound of the scope. I'm lucky though I have no neighbours anymore, I guess they didn't like the sound of my 8se. 😉
  5. Lovely pics of Albireo Reggie, I love viewing through my scope. Opps, slitly newer thread this time. 😳
  6. Have you gone to settings/plug ins and checked the box telescope control load at startup? I don't have Windows Laptop, I use a MacBook Pro and have no problem.
  7. Hi Stu, lovely images. I plan on getting a Astrozap Baader Solar Filter, and Baader Solar Continuum Filter for my 8se. You probably have a dedicated solar scope. I know I will never see anything like your images, but I was wondering if H-Alpha filter would be any use for me.
  8. Yes sorry Peter, I had not realised this was an old thread as Branduinbunny had replied one hour ago.
  9. I take it that you have done an alignment before trying to use Stellarium?
  10. A letter to Jurgen Klopp might help sort that out. 😉 Oh and well done Swoop1.
  11. Hi Ian, welcome to SGL.
  12. Hi Karen, there is a double star in Virgo called Porrima which might be good to view. There is also many galaxies in Virgo, and the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.
  13. Hi Jordan, and welcome to SGL. That is a good find, and hopefully it might help David until Celestron come up with a fix. I don't have GPS as I only setup in the garden. I only had to enter my location once as it is stored in the mount, so I just enter time and date and let StarSense do it's stuff. The only benefit I can see of using GPS is going to other sites.
  14. stinky, have a view of some globular/open clusters. I use a Celestron 32mm Omni Plossl.
  15. Nice picture Richard, right place, right time. Well done.
  16. Appsolultly stunning, well done ShineOn.
  17. Go to Menu on the hand controller, Starsense, Reset AIS Camera. Once that is completed go to Menu. Hand controller, restore defaults. Second, recycle the power on the unit.
  18. Could it be that the air is now getting cleaner with this lockdown, so it appears a little brighter? As you can see, I'm no Scientist. 😳
  19. Beutiful pic Peter, well done.
  20. Well done, no not really. You only done that to out do me, B..... Bikers. 😉
  21. I also saw them last night 😡 Ships, Time to get out of that Tank and into your satellite destroyer flying thingy. 😉
  22. David, under your profile (see pic1) choose Account Settings, then under settings (see pic2) chose Signature Add your stuff. Hope that helps.
  23. One of the first things I upgraded on my 8se was that piece of junk, I replaced it with a Telrad finder. Once it was set up I have not adjusted since and it is always spot on.
