  1. Sky-seacher, what is a GPC on the nose? And what eyepiece holder do you use?
  2. Thanks Ricochet, yes it is the right thread. Oh well.
  3. Thanks Sky-seacher, delivered between Sept - Oct.😡 Just cannot seem to find a T2 female to M26x0.75 male thread adapter for binoviewers in the UK.
  4. I wonder if the WO's will do that? Then I would not need an adapter.
  5. Hi, I would appreciate some help here please. I have the WO Binoviewers and want to get a setup similar to this for my NexStar 8se: Please see pic. I am about to buy the Baader Prism Diagonal T-2 / 90 Degree 32mm and the Baader SCT T Adaptor Ultra Short 10mm Optical Length. Now I need help with adapter for when I unscrew the Binoviewers nose piece and attached them to the Baader Prism Diagonal T-2.
  6. Hi Alz7147, and welcome to SGL I use the TalentCell Rechargeable 36W 12V/6000mAh 5V/12000mAh DC Output Lithium Ion Battery Pack. It is fantastic, and last a good night session. Also attached to my NexStar 8se mount so no more cord wrap. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0713T4XT9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. For that you will need something like this: ZWO ASiair Pro Wireless Astrophotography Controller https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-accessories/zwo-asiair-pro-wireless-astrophotography-controller.html
  8. Siouxsie, I took a 360° panorama view from my location using mobile phone camera. Then make the sky sky transparent in photo editing program, this now lets SkySafari/Stellarium display the sky at your present location. See image below.
  9. Both, but love the larger screen of the iPad, and don't have to add time/date/location each time. I also connect via usb cable to my MacBook Pro, and use SkySafari 6 Pro or Stellarium. Even have my own background view in both those programs. CPWI is great, but only available for Windows.
  10. Yes Siouxsie, home wireless internet network You must first connect via Direct, once you have done that move the switch on SkyPortal Module to Access Point mode, and select Access Point mode in SkySafari or SkyPortal App. Easy really, was for me.
  11. I connect mine via Access Point mode, and probably get more than 30ft. Plus it seems more stable than Direct Connect.
  12. Also If the lens of the Starsense has been unscrewed, it will need to be returned for a factory recalibration.
  13. Totally agree with Shimrod, the only thing to watch out for with Skyportal WiFi Module is that make sure you purchase a Mark III 2.4Ghz version. It is distinguished by not having a reset button, and is named celestron xxx in SkySafari App. Versions one and two had bad network reception, so avoid those in the secondhand market.
  14. Hi Reece, welcome to SGL. My first scope was a NexStar 90SLT Mak, I viewed Saturn, Jupiter and four of it's moons, and M13 and plenty of other targets. So you should be able to see plenty with your scope, just remember you will not see what others have photograghed in glorious colour. A Celestron 32mm Omni Plossl eyepiece would be good for your collection, giving you better views of Globular/Open Clusters. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/celestron-eyepieces/celestron-omni-plossl-eyepiece.html Try Stellarium program for free on your PC/Laptop it will help you find targets. https://stellarium.org Happy viewing.
  15. Yep Gina, you and her are my adopted Aunts. Give me a camera Auntie Gina, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease 😉
  16. Auntie FLO just gave me these. WO Binoviewer's with two Swan 20mm 72° eyepieces, and Celestron 32mm Omni Plossl eyepiece to go with my other one. Hope to be using both eyes later today.🥳
  17. Seems like a lot of Windows 10 user have your problem from a quick search on cloudy nights site. You might need to try jarfix: https://johann.loefflmann.net/en/software/jarfix/index.html
  18. Go to Menu on the hand controller, Starsense, Reset AIS Camera. Once that is completed go to Menu. Hand controller, restore defaults. Second, recycle the power on the unit. You will now have to put in all data again, as in like it's new.
  19. Or get a really long usb cable.😉 Apparently you can connect via Bluetooth, but I don't know if you can buy these in the UK. https://www.usconverters.com/controlling-telescope-PC-Bluetooth-ASCOM
  20. There is Skyfi, but that is £249.😮 https://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/skyfi-iii-wireless-telescope-control-system.html Maybe best to look for secondhand Sky Portal Wifi adaptor, but there are three versions. Make sure it's a Mark III version, as Mark I and II are rubbish because of poor signal.
