Too much cloud here- taking darks instead

Got a couple of hours in last night, not a great sky - but worthy for some testing.

Hell yeah - cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey...! Should be wonderfully clear though. Here's to some happy imaging time tonight.

Yep, gotta clear a foot of snow off the patio first and salt the steps, i don't fancy landing face first with an eq6 on top of me...lol.

Yep, there is a lot to catch up on - probably starting off with either the cave or pelican. The only need a couple of hours in SII to get the required result.

and as if by magic after spending 40 mins polar aligning after adjusting my pier to bring down the height of the bolts to reduce vibration, a bank of cloud rolls in.......

Yep, with the DSLR this time - trying to in-fill some colour on the Iris CCD data.

Don't worry... Clear skies are on their way back now. With perfect timing too - the claggy cloud has been over the Full Moon, but we will all be enjoying perfect conditions for the coming New Moon.

At least, that's what my therapist has suggested I keep repeating to myself....

Well, if it isn't tomorrow - I might get some clear sky on mon/tue. But that's going to be a long, boring  weekend  in between... bah!

NGC6820, a bit low at the moment but managed to get 90min out of it.

Well, it *was* the heart of the Virgo supercluster - but the sky was so poor I ended up trashing all the subs. Hopefully saturday will be better.

It´s probably eating ice cream crying and watching an old Hugh Grant movie as we speak!

Yeah, I think they will be ok too. Theres a lot of evergreen trees to choose from around here, as long as they dont mind a squirrel for a neighbour.

I did this the other week, use Paragon migrate, it is easy and so far not a single issue changing my old HP laptop to SSD, what took 3 minutes to boot to desktop now take 27 seconds! PM me for any further help :D

All sorted mate, it wasnt the actual "getting it to work" part (worked first time) - but getting it in there. With the Aspire one, you have to take the whole thing apart to get to the HDD... screws everywhere! A bit like modding a DSLR. Now boots in under a minute (instead of 10) :)

was this on the 130? do you use a dew shield?

Yeah, had the shield on. If it happens again tonight I will deploy the hairdryer. While im at it, I may as well recharge the 383L desiccant.
