  1. and a ambitious double Barlowed view of AR2565,67
  2. I just remembered I promised to post a few favourites from 2016, to add the already superb collection here. The obvious place to start is with the Mercury transit!
  3. Exactly what I eventually ended up with, LS50THA, B600, LS50C, and FT focuser upgrade took a lot of saving for the upgrades. The double stack/focuser for imaging has made a big difference!
  4. A superbly detailed image Avani, keep up the good work.
  5. Great image especially for single frame, got too grab what you can.
  6. Lovey sketch, just like the view I had through my C9.25 tonight as well.
  7. Looks like an excellent investment to me. It will be interesting to see what the results are, especially on double star's and planets.
  8. I regularly Barlow my Lunt, which does involve using an extension as well. This puts the B600 diagonal around 160mm away from the focuser, add the webcam and then the old focuser really struggles. It will be nice to have a good solid focuser for those close up moments!
  9. Where will be the best place to purchase one I wonder, I guess there are a few UK retailers.
  10. Not spent my birthday money yet, I think this is going to be top of the list!
  11. Hi welcome to SGL from Pete in Bedfordshire :-)
  12. Looks similar dimensions to the helical focuser. Minimum focuser height of 48 mm and 15mm of travel. My replacement focus was a little under the minimum height and the travel is around 13mm on both of mine. The minimum travel is not an issue for ZWO camera uses threading direct in to the blocking diagonal. "In focus" is certainly of interest to myself as I still use a imaging source camera.
  13. wow what a change in the weather!

    1. Uranium235

      Uranium235

Yep, next couple of days are looking quite astro friendly! Even the Moon is doing us a favour and staying low.

  14. Mine only comes off because it wont fit in my flight case
  15. As you said earlier once you use the D/S you probably will not use it without. As an imager the 2nd thing I do after powering up the PC, is screw on the Double stack
  16. I wonder what sort of price range they will be, better dave some pennies
  17. I think this was from around 2010. I remember star hoping to the area where it should be, I couldn't see M51 but I took a short unguided sub anyway. I couldn't believe it when it appeared on screen, I was pretty much a imaging convert from then on!
  18. Sorry I meant the fine lines not files, no idea why I wrote that
  19. Good end result. What are the files though, i don't think i have seen them before?
