is the scope the 70ED Triplet Apo? looking at the pictures you would need to add a finder shoe on top of the scope rail The Ascent 70ED looks like it comes with a finder shoe did you buy as tube only? there are 2 shiny screws on the body of the scope at 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock there you would fit a finder shoe

Nema17-PG5 has 1036 steps per revolution (Full Step) = 3 steps per degree of revolution so 500 steps = 166 degree's Nema17-PG27 has 5370 steps per revoution (Full Step) = 15 steps per degree of revolution so 500 steps = 33 degree's if this helps and my maths correct I have the PG27 as this give's finer control and more torque

The 130-PDS is F/5 so should not be a problem

I was unable to find any other type of fitting i know it is not cheap but better than those thumbscrews. the only problem I have is with my MPCC there is an undercut on it and the compression fitting on the scope just grips it. otherwise fine
