It has taken 7 month of campaigining to get Mrs B a visa, despite us being married 14 years and having lived in Aus..The UK are raising the bar on non EU folk and do not look properly at the circumstances.

I lived 10 years in Shanghai, then 4.5 in Perth WA then back here last year for 6 months and now relocated to Ely UK, only visiting to sort out the visa issue. Cannot see anything dimmer than -1 mag where we have a house.

Which direction are you going? The LA route I found very long as it was 2 long hops, I would guess the UK - Eastward route would have 2 stops ??. Odd I recall the flight out but cannot recall the flight back at all.

Guess you have been but if not personally I would avoid going via LA. LONG tiring 2 hop flight. Cost me my birthday as well - it didn't exist owing to the date line. Never sure about the "skies" the Maori name is Land of the Long White Cloud.

Been clear a few miles south of you a few times in the last couple of weeks, you must have had some bad luck, or have a rotten local weather pattern.
