  1. Not sure if this is any better but I think the background is a little less red.
  2. Thank you, I have tried a few things on getting the background levels better but no luck so far, Ill keep tweaking and see where it goes.
  3. This is a target I have wanted to do since first seeing the images of it on this site. I have always considered this target as one of the big boys targets and all ways found an excuse not to try for it. Over the last few weeks I have been chipping away at it with bits of data when the sky would let me and although I havent really done it justice after 13hrs on it I could not do another night on it and feel its time to move on. So here it is 205 x 240s subs taken with my ASI 2600mc and optalong Extreme filter. I have to say to my eyes it looks more like Porky Pigs head than spaghetti! Hints, tips and CC welcome. Thanks for looking.
  4. Yep, v nice! I try not to watch the guiding figures as I might try and do something about them! lol
  5. Always like to see wide field images, puts everything into scale.
  6. Hi Rodd, To my tired eyes the second one just has the edge. Both are great images BTW.
  7. Looking good, I looked outside last night and could not beleve how clear it was but the wind was putting me off. Wish I had set up now.
  8. All v nice, the lack of data in one channel does not detract from the images.
  9. Yep v nice. I know there is no up and down in space as such but to me the image is upside down. lol
  10. Thanks, I normally use 240s for my L extreme so will double that.
  11. Thank you that is a brilliant walk through, I may be getting the D2 filter my self v soon and this will help me a lot with my luddite understanding of these things.
  12. When merging the 2 Oiii channels did you combine them post stack or did you combine as a separate stack? Sorry for the interrogation.
  13. V nice, was the combination of the data straight forward?
