Thank you, yes I find this camera amazing, although my squid project needs a lot longer on the results of my first session.

The weather last night looked good so I set up to start one of my longer projects ( going for the Squid! ) but I hadnt realised that the trees in our garden were masking it ( note to self. Tree to be cut down! ) so while I was waiting for the target to come out of hiding I decided to have a go at M8 only to find that i could only get a few subs ( 8 ) before it went behind next doors house ( note to self knock down next doors house! ) anyway long story short got 8 x 240 subs but the happy accident was I got the Lagoon Nebula due to my poor framing. Taken through my Askar 400 with my ASI 2600mc. and optalong extreme filter. Done as a sudo SHO image. For such a short exposure Im really pleased with the result ( well at the moment until start picking faults! ) Thanks for looking CC welcome.

As said above, the second image to my poor eyes has the edge for me but I would be proud of any of the images you have done.

Couldnt wait so had a quick redo. Think they look better. Hadnt noticed that I got one of the moons of Jupiter till I did the redo.

That looks a lot better! Will have another play with the data tomorrow and see if I can get close to what you are getting\

Hi all, I dont normally do planets as I like the DSO stuff but last night i dragged my old SW 127 mak out and dusted off my old ASI 120mc. Once I was set clouds rolled in so had to wait a few hours but just as i was giving up the clouds parted and I had a quick few mins at both Jupiter and Saturn. The sky was moving around a lot and my camera was having a hissey fit! but managed to get a couple of runs on both. Not really in the big boys league but Im happy with what I got. Thanks for looking. So I have been using my scope wrong all this time! will switch it round the right way and hopefully it will get rid of the clouds.

Hi and thanks, Yep I have already been working on that but havent posted it as I may try some other tweaks. It is a shame to crop it though as the reducer is quite good all the way to the corners. Must pay more attention to framing next time.
