  1. Nice image.Like the contrast and detail
  2. Brilliant Neil. Well done Should inspire many telescope owners. You don’t need huge expensive telescopes to get cracking images
  3. Always found this a difficult area to image. Likewise, I wouldn’t be disappointed
  4. Very nice image. I’ve recently changed from imaging source to ZWO and have found the 120M-C really good. Makes you wonder what we will be imaging with in another ten years !! Trevor
  5. Very good images as usual Mike. Interesting to know we all go through the same ups and downs. The 140 seems to hit a sweet spot. Well done . Trevor
  6. Thanks for the nice comments. I’ve always been surprised what the ED100 can do. I get as much detail with it as I often have with bigger scopes in the past and it’s a lot easier to set up and use. We’ve all heard the best scope is the one you use and I think that’s proven to be correct for me anyway. I used to be obsessed with getting finer and finer detail and smaller and smaller craters with more aperture but now try to get a good picture instead. It keeps me amused !!
  7. Images from the 22nd. I used a SW ED100 and a x2 barlow. Another night of pretty good seeing. We are being spoiled !
  8. Thanks for the generous comments. There was small panic earlier when I couldn't find an image and there was a gap in the middle as I stitched them together. It wouldn't have been the first time that I didn't overlap the images enough. ! Trevor
  9. Composite picture taken at prime focus on an ED100 on the 22nd. The original is 73Mb in size but does show more detail !
  10. Thanks Michael. It still surprises me how quick the shadow detail changes during an observing session
  11. Very fine detail there Neil and well processed. Trevor
  12. Thanks. Camera is a ZWO ASI 120M
  13. Thanks John. It certainly highlights the detail on what is normally a very flat crater floor in images. Trevor
  14. Just caught the first rays of sunlight crossing Ptolemaeus on the 19th. Taken through an ED120 with x2 barlow.
  15. Thanks for the comments Mike and Neil. I've always been pleased with what the 120 can do given the right seeing. I agree, the first shot has the mountain tops overexposed. This was during capture and I was trying to pick up more detail in the shadows to the west. We have been lucky with clear skies lately. Lets hope it continues. Trevor
  16. Sometimes it all works ! The seeing on the 19th was very very good. These images were taken through an ED120 using a x2 barlow. I filled the laptop up with video files so plenty to keep me amused in the future.
  17. Thanks Roy. It seems such a mixed bag sometimes. I've had the reverse when the seeing has been poor and suddenly settles down but I'm sure you are right that the location plays a big part. Trevor
  18. Cheers Wouter. As you well know the seeing is so critical. The moon was high and clear but the atmosphere had other plans !! I think it was cooling that fast the scope couldn't keep up with the changes .
  19. Couple of shots with an ED120. Seeing started off pretty good but rapidly deteriorated as the temperature fell. Its a bit like fishing this game ! You never know what you will get
