Excellent images and video

Like the animation particularly. Very good detail

Thanks Stu and Jim I agree with Stu that the sun is very dynamic in Ha. To answer Jim as best I can I think you would be hard pressed to see actual movement but when I’ve stitched consecutive files together as a short video it’s surprising how things change. If you made a quick sketch of a prom at the eyepiece and looked again in say 5 to 10 minutes you would see movement. Hope that helps. Trevor

Taken on the 30th with quite poor seeing but it gives an impression of the activity. I used a modded PST attached to an ED100. Always amazed how quick features change.

Very nice. Lots of detail there.

Thanks Bob

Appreciate the comment and previous advice Neil. Cheers. Trevor

Thanks Wouter

These were all taken on the 19th. The seeing wasn't the best and they have come out better than I expected. Its' always a worry at first light in case you've brought a lemon but I'm really pleased so far. Just need the clouds to move away !!!!

Excellent shots. Well worth a daytime set up. -
Looks good to me Neil 👍

You are picking up lots of detail Neil. The seeing was poor. Smooth image as usual. I often think I'm too heavy handed with wavelets and sharpening.

Thanks Neil . For the first time in years I set up to take the sun the other day. I took loads of AVI files but left the setting to over wright the last one ! It saved the last file and I lost the rest. I thought it was just me. Hope you sort out the pattern noise. Its my lack of understanding but I find these techy issues a real pain.

Thanks for the comments. They seem to get a good press for the moon and planets. Should keep me amused for a while !

More of a test than anything else last night to see how the new scope performed. The seeing wasn't brilliant but I'm well pleased if I can get this or better detail. As expected, the images improved as the scope cooled down but I was only outside 1.5 hours at most.Taken at prime focus with an ASI 120 MM camera. About 400 shots from 1600

That’s better than I have ever achieved during the day. As Neil said, you should be pleased with that one Mike -
Thanks Wouter. They always seem slightly different and I can’t resist a re-visit

Finally sorted through all last months AVI's just in time to start again !! Taken through an ED120 during good seeing. I like the chain of mountain tops between the Apennines and Archimedes and I always seem to be drawn back to the Altai scarp area

Thanks for the comments. I’m still wading through AVI files and experimenting with new ideas. I’ve received lots of help and support from members in respect of processing. Much appreciated. Trevor

Thanks Wouter. The seeing was very good

More time to play around with AVI's taken during the recent nights of good seeing. I like to think I've pulled a little more detail out of the images but you can spend hours playing around with these. All good fun though. Taken with x2 barlow through an ED120
