  1. Thanks Craig. I’ve owned several refractors but this one takes some beating as an all rounder l think.
  2. Taken a couple of nights ago through an ED100. The moon was quite low and the detail is better than I expected. I enjoy using this scope. Quick cool down and easy to set up.
  3. Good image Neil. I always think achros have been underrated regards imaging. Lots of detail there.
  4. Thanks Luke. Yes, it’s the SW ED100 F9. It is a good scope. Trevor
  5. Thanks for the comments. I was trying to convince myself the rille was visible but you’ve confirmed it Bryan ! Good luck with the bigger scopes Mike. You’ve produced plenty of very good images with your ED120 in the past
  6. Thanks for the comments. I've always been pleased with the ED100. I think its quite a capable scope, the cool down is very rapid and its easy to move about. I've lugged much bigger and heavier units outside to image and achieved less to be honest. It keeps me amused anyway !
  7. These were taken on the 24th using an ED100 and imaging source camera. Seeing was very good. I'm always pleasantly surprised what can be done with a 4" scope
  8. Thanks Bryan. Probably more detail using video files and the moon was quite low but I was pleased with the detail for basically two single shots
  9. Taken using a Dslr on a SW ED80. With a x2 Barlow about 75% of the moon filled the field. I used a skytee mount and blended two shots in PS. It’s nice to keep things quick and simple sometimes
  10. Nice and clear images. Like the banding in Aristarchus
  11. More time to process and hopefully stitch together the better shots. Taken two nights back through an ED120 with x3 barlow. I think the Rille in the Alpine Valley is a bit more obvious and I always like imaging Hadley Rille in the mountains. Seeing wasn't the best I've known so pleased wit the detail
  12. You’ll find enough with the moon to keep you going a lifetime. The lighting never seems the same and when you do drop onto good seeing it’s quite something. Always think it’s a bit like fishing. You never know what you’ll get and sometimes it’s nothing. Always worth another go though 😊
  13. Nice when the seeing is not bad. You take as much as you can !!!!!
  14. Thanks. Nice to get the opportunity with the recent weather !
  15. Taken earlier this evening through an ED120. Maybe a hint of the Rille down the middle of the valley. Nice area to image. Trevor
  16. Cloudy now but clear earlier this evening. The seeing wasn't too bad. Taken with an ED120 with x3 barlow and imaging source camera. I've imaged this area many times before but always go back for another go.
  17. Thanks David. It was a nice line up on Christmas Eve and I was pleased the ED72 and imaging source camera just covered the required field of view. Still kicking myself for taking the mono camera rather than colour but pleased I have a record. None of us will see this again !! Trevor
  18. No prizes for this one but it’s a record at least. Taken through an ED72 at prime focus with an imaging source camera. Travelled out to get a good horizon and took the mono instead of the colour camera. I think it’s age ! Still, it’s a record of events and nice to see the four Galilean moons in line
  19. Taken on the 19th. Cloudy tonight and tomorrow so lucky to get in slightly early ! Taken with a Canon compact on a local river bank
  20. Very good image with lots of detail. Agree with Alex. Very natural looking
  21. Very good image. A good likeness of what can be seen visually without over processing
