  3. Got out at around 3.30 for in order to have a crack at Neowise and was greeted by a superb display of NLC, the comet almost got almost lost in the bright clouds. If the weather holds for tomorrow morning I'm going to make another early start 🙂 Canon 60D with a 200m F4, 1 sec, @1600iso and a 40m F4, 1 sec, @ 1600iso
  4. Great time lapse . What lens and camera did you use ? I hope to get a chance at imaging neowise on Friday morning and wondering which lens to use 🤔
  5. I was hoping to get an image of the AR (thru the pesky clouds) but got sidetracked by a nice prom on the other side of the Sun, by the time I got back to the AR there were more clouds and the seeing was horrid. Here are the images from the session.
  6. I should have detailed it in the original post, sorry. Kit :- 130mm F7 refractor, Quark Chromoshere, 0.5x focal reducer, 135mm Baader D-ERF filter and ZWO ASI178MM camera. Cheers Den
  7. Thanks Dave, I know the feeling (ever hopeful).
  8. Managed to get an hour of early sun this morning, although there were hazy high clouds (very annoying) I got my first peek at AR2765. Here's an image:-
  9. Excellent result, especially considering the awful conditions
  10. It was a horrid day for me too.🥴
  11. Just noticed that in white light there are now two additional small associated spots, seems to be growing nicely.
  12. You managed to get a good image despite the terrible conditions, I just had an attempt at imaging and couldn't get anything ☹️
  13. Great images Charl, thought you had been a bit quiet lately.
  14. Beautiful solar viewing today, just a tad breezy. Here's a time lapse from this afternoon, it covers approx one hour in the life of today's biggest prom.
