  1. Thanks Gav, total of 91 frames.
  2. Had a good solar session this morning there were plenty of nice proms and a couple of decent ARs on display, didn't know what to image first 🤔 Ended up going with AR2816 time lapse ( about an hour in real time).
  3. Someone on here on SGL will probably work it out 😁
  4. I think you are right, it's just too big to be a satellite.
  5. I tried some imaging this morning and caught this object transiting the Solar disk 😯. Any thoughts on what it could be ?
  6. Lots of high hazy cloud today but managed to catch the large prom and the remains of AR2812 & AR2811.
  7. Nice images Charl, if this hazy cloud here clears this afternoon I'm also hoping to catch this prom 🤞
  8. Err 2016 I think, about four and a half years ago. 😆
  9. Great hi res images, like the time lapse just wish it had lasted a bit long.
  10. Thanks Sean I agree, love the colour contrast especially.
  11. Finally a rare clear night so I took the opportunity of grabbing this image of the Mars & seven sisters conjunction. Canon 60D, Canon 70-200 F4, 3mins @ 1600iso
  12. Finally after months of permacloud I got to see the sun today, thought I'd get an image of the new sun spot but the seeing was rubbish so I didn't bother. However, there was a bright prom on SW limb which looked more interesting and managed to get this short time lapse (30mis actual time) before the clouds rolled in 🙂
  13. I've had similar problems with registax in the past, I get round it by opening the avi in Virtualdub and then saving the file as an avi , the saved Virtualdub avi always loads in Registax. Download Virtualdub from here (it's free 😊) http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

  15. Turn them into jigsaws 🙂. Haven't tried it myself yet but think I will. https://www.my-picture.co.uk/photo-gifts/personalised-photo-puzzle.jsf
  16. I know what you mean, it only seems clear when there's a full Moon I suppose it's the law of Sod. 🥴
  17. Last night's beautiful Moon with the colour turned up to 11 😄 ( 130mm Refractor & Canon 60 )
  18. A lucky break in the clouds allowed me to grab this image of the 'great conjuction'. (Canon 60D and 130mm frac) The weather forecast for tomorrow is rubbish so this was probably my only chance to get a look (he says bitterly 😬).
  19. The torch should always be allowed to reach ambient temperature before testing, if not it may cause internal air currents. and that would probably degrade the light beam. 😂
