I've just spied this myself. A super image, there appears to be far much structure to the ring looking at that image.

Before they messed up te primary it would have been a nightmare. I can imagine doing with a cap/cheshire, having to walk 50 or more meters to reach the end of the tube and fiddle the adjustment screws, walk back 50 meters, look through eye piece etc. Apparently it was so bad, here are some comparisons before and after the corrections were made.
