Just joined. Always been keen on armchair astronomy - watched the BBC Stargazing show (me too!) and this reminded me I had bought atelescope some years back. Decided now was a good time to get more interested again so here I am

I live in light polluted overcast England but I guess there is still some stuff to see - and to look forward to better viewing on occasions

Hi Simon and welcome to the forum.

I also live in a big city and yes light pollution is a pain! However, looking at the planets, moon, double stars etc remain relatively unaffected by it so there are alternatives if you can't get out of town.

Clear skies
