Geminid in Orion

Recommended Posts

After reading several posts from frustrated SGL members last night, I consider myself extremely lucky to have had clear(ish) skies last night, especially as tonight is blanket overcast. I'm not complaining though, an early night is on the cards after a 3am finish this morning.

The attached pic is the only frame in which I managed to capture a Geminid - 45mm lens, 3 minutes @ f5, 500ISO and piggy-backed on my scope. As I'm intending to submit the image to a photo-library I've added the chimneys to broaden it's appear to non-astro markets (hopefully!).

Thanks for looking.

It won't be on their website because it's being held on file for possible future use which is standard procedure with magazines for unsolicited submissions. It's used to be a right pain in the bad old days of film keeping track of who had what trannies and how long they had had them. Nowadays with digital it's much easier, thank goodness.
