Hello All,

I have been lurking around these forums for far too long & I've learnt a lot from all the fantastic advice & information over the years from you lot!

I've looked through some very nice scopes with seriously nice prices :) but thought a big Dob for now will help me get used to the skies the old fashioned way. So in the meantime bought a Skywatcher 300p Flextube (An amazing scope for the money in my novice opinion).

I've got a lot of questions & will start posting them soon.

Bye for now

PJW

Welcome PJW

a 12" scope is a really nice one to start with. I wish I also had that apperture as a starter scope.

Feel free to ask whatever crosses your mind and enjoy the hobby.

Hi PJW and welcome to the forum.

12" scope is a very good starting point and will certainly offer you plenty to look at (...once the clouds clear :)). Let us all know how you get on when you take the 'beast' out, you could even write up a report for the review section?

Clear skies for your viewing and congratulations on buying such a good scope.

James
