Rosette & Cone from Kielder

Hi all,

A great weekend at Kielder. Took this with a 150mm camera lens on the Canon 400D on the Saturday night. The field of view is about 8.5 x 5.5 degrees. Grabbed 1 hours worth of 10 min subs as Orion was setting into the trees....a bit too late in the season really. D'oh. Something for next season when its higher in the sky.

Yes, no probs Richard.

Marius, PixInsight detected 18,000 stars in the image. I lost count at 132.

18,000 stars??? Come on simon there aren't that many in the whole sky!!! I know I counted them all the other night down the hammels... there are 20. Nice photoshopping dude, but your gonna have to get up earlier to fool me!

And if you saw stars down at the Hammels its probably because a ned nutted you!
