any comets viewable with a 580mm scope in the coming week?

Which scope are you using?

I'm guessing that the scope is your 100mm F/5.8.

Comet Lemmon should be visible if your skies are dark enough. It is currently listed as magnitude 6.2 and has just moved into Aquila.

Early evening is best, as soon as it's dark.

I tried looking for comet 103P Hartley this morning using a short exposure with DSLR and tripod. Stellarium mobile has 103P Hartley at mag 8.3 I could not detect it. 

Using the same equipment I easily found comet H2 Lemmon, recently listed as magnitude 10.4 

The claimed magnitude is misleading for these comets. Is this par for the course with comets?

The magnitude shown in Stellarium is likely to be as forecast well in advance, and this can often be inaccurate. I find the BAA comet page useful as it has recent estimates: https://people.ast.cam.ac.uk/~jds/

Comet 12P appears to be in outburst again - today reports are brighter than 10th magnitude. It could be visible in a 4" telescope and an image taken with a DSLR. It's also well placed.
