Hyades, Pleiades, NGC1647 and Comet Kushida 144P

Recommended Posts

This is the first light with my new Canon 50D and new Canon 50mm MkII F1.8 lens mounted on my Astrotrac. Exposure details 15x90 secs, stopped down to F3.2, ISO1250. Stacked in DSS Log Sqr Root curves processed in Pix-Insight and PSCS3 with Noels Tools. The conditions were not great with lots of moisture in the air and thin clouds drifting through before finally being defeated by it altogether.

Well I reckon you have beat the conditions Kevin.

That's one of the best widefield Images I've ever seen.

On it's own it is a most splendid sight, with the comet plainly visible, It also quite unique.

Another feather in the AstroTracs Cap too.

Top notch sir.

Ron.
