Thanks John I have a a question in about that very scope.

Not that I am adverse to trimming down scope tubes, my record is 10 mins after delivery one was in the workshop having a trim.

Thanks,  that is the process I had in mind.  Regards Andrew

PS just seen a YouTube clip where they used a jubilee clip to cut against to keep it square. Might try that if I can get one big enough.

Forgot to mention that I had to tap the new holes for the flange mounting screws.

You must have one serious workshop and toolkit John! You always seem to have the right tool ready.

It’s called renovating a house. You collect loads of power tools. 🙀😁😁

And oh yes replaced all the door and cabinet handles although also replaced all the doors and cabinets as well.. 🙄😁😁

I would quite like a Tak (for day use) as I'm sure it is true that they can handle the mags ... I don't know much about them though apart from the FS series and find some of the current offerings a bit bewildering , still that would be for the future as I've spent enough this season 💀

Stunning late afternoon solar again today.

A "perfect storm" of transparency, seeing conditions and plenty of activity from 6pm until 6.30pm produced the best Ha views I've had all year!         🙂

No pics? It never happened! :p

You sent your "perfect storm" [of weather] over to us!
We enjoyed your thunder but you were a bit mean with the rain! ^_^

I thought the same Peter. Only had 10 minutes of clear skies before the Sun disappeared, and I was looking at the active area at 140x - a completely crazy power for a 70mm set up. But details remained sharp and bright enough through binoviewers.
