The Dark side of the Moon

The Chinese should produce some dramatic images of the far side of the Moon. the best detail so far? Maybe they will show the wreckage of the Lancaster Bomber reported to be seen  there by the Sunday Sport 3 years ago.............Dave

If they can put a spacecraft on the far side of the moon, perhaps we should trust Chinese optics as equivalent to other well-established names.

On the Lunar dark side It makes one wonder if there is enough light to produce high contrast images at all...Dave

It's not really a dark side, it's the "far side".  The far side gets lit during last quarter, through New Moon to first quarter phase.
