Thanks mik,

Like a kid in a sweet shop lastnight wanted to get just enough data on a few targets to tets out the new setup.

The sporadic cloud lost me a load of frames but overall I have to be happy with the quality of the Megrez 72 when matched to the WO FF III... I can now get back to my favourite widefield imaging...

Thanks for the comments...

I'm planning a proper effort on this one the next clear moonless night. I am planning on doing stacks of 30, 60,120 and 240 possibly adding some 360 or 480s as well then using the layering techniques I use for M42 which usually results in fairly smooth images.

So the way the weathers been that will possibly be sometime in 2009 or 2010 :)

Now thats a nice image!

I havent tried M31 with the FFII on my 72 yet, but Im going to now, after seeing that!! Its only on these really wide shots that the true size of the galaxy becomes apparent.
