           Observing Information

DSO - M56 globular cluster

Date - 04/08/17

Time - 23:30

Lunar Phase - Waxing gibbous 88%

Seeing - Moderate a bit of cloud and a considerably bright moon in the sky.

Equipment - Skywatcher 12" dobsonian.

Eyepieces - Explore Scientific 14mm 100

Additional info - I started my observation of M56 around 23:30.

I used my 14mm which offered 107 mag and framed the object nicely and gave me a stunning surrounding star field.

I spent the best part of an hour teasing out all the detail I could on the very open glob vey unusual indeed.

As it got astronomically dark more and more stars appeared it was tough to get them all but I did my best.

Clear skies ✨?????

I've just had a interesting conversation with swag72 and I thought it would be neat to do a comparison.

We found it very interesting how objects look so different from an observing point of view and imaging.

Heres the image that was taken and of course the sketch I did and a close up of the image and sketch everyone's thoughts more then welcome ?
