I have a new toy to play with & not a clue what i'm doing,its a SKYWATCHER EXPLORER 130  ........ any advice to this clueless newby would be very grateful

Hi and welcome to SGL, like you I'm relatively new to astronomy and use a SW explorer 130P on a EQ2 mount. Having some good fun with it and now managing to bag one or two DSO along with 4 of the 5 easy planets. The only thing I can recommend is a good Stella map or a planisphere (I use skymaps.com downloading the monthly star chart.
