The Solar Chromosphere (Ca-K) - 4th December 2016

Not going to be many Ca-K disks between now and the end of January, at least not from me anyway! I get about 15 minutes @ 09:30 and then an hour or so around 12 to observe otherwise the view is obstructed by trees. Seeing was horrible today so this is the best 6 panes from about 20 that I shot trying to catch batter seeing avoid the breeze. I lost the Sun to more trees before I could get to look for proms and the seeing quashed any ideas of doing close-ups.

Very nice disks David. It will be at least February before I get a chance again.

Wow, that's a downer! To be honest the tree line behind our house is creeping higher and higher each year so eventually I will end up in the same situation :angry2:
