Jupiter from Burton-on-Trent, 18th February 2016

This my 1st Jupiter of the season/year. It's ok, a bit soft I think. I used a Revelation x2.5 barlow in this image and I think it was pushing it a bit. Especially as it was still relatively low in the sky. Processed in Autostakkert with wavelets in Registax 6.

That has come out very well.

As U say, a 2.5 Barlow is pushing

it a bit . F 25.   I see U have got the same scope

as me. U have done well to use a Barlow

with your scope.  I find it difficult, just to

get the camera, to focus  , with a Barlow.

A good effort Paul, the earlier seeing was better but trans was poor, I gave it up as a bad job about 1.00 am with nothing worth processing lol!

Nice one. My ASI120MC has the same chip as your camera, I think, and I tend not to push that beyond F/20. I only use the 2.5x PowerMate (in essentially the same scope) only with cameras with bigger pixels (like the ASI174MM)

Appreciate the comments guys. Haven't got a x2 Barlow and have  been looking at the Bresser x2 four element Barlow. Anybody used one? At £98 are they worth it?
