Solar close up

Taken this morning. Bit of wind so a few duff ones in the set but this one came out quite well. AS!2 to stack 150 from the AVI, Imppg and some levels in PS.

I know the sun is big but even so who would think the amateur astronomer could capture such close up and amazing detail. Great job Freddie !!

I have done quite a few comparisons now Freddie & it did surprise me how much the sun doesn't change as much as people think, some areas / features are a lot more dynamic than others.

It's the dynamic fast one's I like to catch though.

As said it is interesting that some features change quite quickly whilst others like these spots change little over a reasonable period of time. I have the same group captured on 3 consecutive days so will look to post the three up together,

Nope, clouds, clouds and more clouds today and said to be cloudy well into next week !!! Have the same group captured on 15th, 16th and 17th though.
