I popped a 'right way up' version in too, but left the other one so the comments still make sense!! :)

EDIT: The original now seems to have disappeared but I'm sure we will cope.

No scope or bins... and by the looks of the report the weather is looking clear. .. typical..

Hotels just north of Morpeth, in Northumberland.. nice place..

Emergency scope delivery, great idea for a business!

Should have brought one.. kicking myself really..

No, should not have taken one.

Message might be that she would like a weekend with you, not a weekend on her own with you outside looking through a scope.

Nah if she wanted you to ditch the scope it would be an inner city hotel, that or a summer break in Svalbard ;)

Yes, and if you had taken a 6" Dob she would have realised that for the rest of your life, you had been lying about 6"

I wouldn't have run off at all hours... just the dark ones.. and besides I could have hatched a devious plan to ply her with gin and tonic (£10 a throw by the way... robbing hoteliers ) so she fell a sleep leaving me to my own devices, then I'd have had no choice but to take part in a bit of casual observing!

Getting ones wife drunk in a hotel normally has a different agenda I think....

You would think.. but throw into the equation a 6month old in a travel cot at the end of the bed and the safest thing to mount is definitely a telescope!
