The Ethos 6mm is around the same size and par focal with the 8mm. I see you have the 3-6 Nagler zoom though so you are covered there

Have toyed with selling the zoom John as now I can powermate the 8 to give 255/510x...when conditions allow.But it gets lots of use in the Zeiss

Powermating the 8mm Ethos gives great results if the seeing is up to it. I can recall an amazing night last year when I was able to Powermate both the 8mm and 6mm Ethos for 398x and 530x with my 12" dob to view the Moon and the detail was stunning

I find that I don't need them personally.

It is each to their own on high magnifications I suppose. I sometimes use high powers for fun on dsos but also prefer the 150x-200x range even on moon and planets although more on doubles.

Moon filter...?! Why... I like my moon crispy and sharp, never had an problems with a 16"... Your scope isn't much larger...

I am wondering if they have even sold one in the UK, the only person I have seen with one is Joves and he is about 10,000 miles away.

The funny thing is the 8mm seems like the famous bus, not one for ages then two come along at once.
