Yep... Good to give the light pollution problem a good kicking on prime time TV... But I can see the moon from my London back yard, don't need dark skies to improve the view! I had expected they would be at the Keildr observatory.

Lots of work going on in Northumberland at the moment. I know Duncan who was interviewed and he's very keen to promote dark sky sites like Cawfields and Kielder. Now if only I can convince him to try and get security lights banned in my village.

Yep- wierd having a 'dark skies' feature with a near full moon. The moon obviously had different plans to the producers shooting schedule!

I am always getting M31 mixed up with M33.  I just know they are Triangulum and Andromeda galaxies!
