Hello all, I have been an a amateur astronomer off and on now for 30+ years. Each time I get back into it, there is a quantum shift in knowledge and equipment. Glad to be cycling back to the sky

Hi Boyd and welcome to the forum. You're absolutely right about the development in kit and in particular equipment for astrophotography. The tricky bit is that our wallets aren't developing at the same rate!  :grin:  :grin:  :grin:

Hi Boyd and welcome to SGL, I have seen a massive change in Astronomical goodies over the years, since I first became interested and that was years before SPM broadcast his first BBC "Sky at Night". Good equipment is now available from the major manufacturers, to a point that I think newcomers are sometimes bewildered and spoilt for choice, enjoy :)
