Hang around here long enough and you will not be a noob for long.Have a look at 'Turn Left at Orion' which is a great book for learning what is up there with your telescope. It even has eyepeice views oriented the way you will see them through your Dob. I found it to be a brilliant companion to start exploring and I have only just started myself.
