Hello from a newcomer to the hobby & SGL

Hello all - My name is Colin and I'm located near Leicester in central England. I recently bought myself a Celestron 127SLT Alt/Az GOTO to replace my first (modest) scope, an Astromaster 130 because I needed something that was easier to carry up and down three flights of stairs!

My interests are viewing and some photography - mainly solar, startrails and wideview/constellations with an unmodified Canon 650D and a variety of lenses from 10mm up to 1300mm (without a teleconverter!) and homemade Baader film filters.

Looking forward to being able to pick a few brains and get some ideas of what else might be achievable!
