Cycle Worxs 180cm x 100cm bike cover. Can't go wrong for a quid and almost reaches the ground on this 10" f4.8 so will cover the scope and all electronics for those 'just in case' moments

Might just grab a couple more.

The BBQ covers are good too for covering a tripod & mount if left outside overnight.

If you have a 99P STORES near you they have a matt black exercise mat for 99p (oddly) which makes a cheap dew shield / light pollution shade.

99p dew shield on 10" F4 scope.

Would that work on my DOB? Also, do you get more dewing the more vertical you point the scope?

No need as I term my 300p Dob, as a piece of Art so its kept indoors and uncovered

The light shield would work fine on a Dob. I'm not sure if telescope orientation has any effect on the amount of dewing you get- it's all about dew points & humidity. A dew shield will certainly your optics getting dewed up by a couple of hours at least.

Buy a few and bang them on ebay at £20 a pop as SuperAstroCovers - like most of my hobbies (and Bonsai in particular) it strikes me that what would normally cost 50p cost £50 if instead of being a mere widget the identical item is labelled specialist [insert hobby here] widget

In my experience dobs always dew more when above 45°, especially larger aperture ones due to dew falling down the tube.my 12" didn't but the 16" was a nightmayer for it.

Probably. A bucket full of bricks or water suspended beneath the tripod adds a hell of a lot stability to the scope.

hehe i have an orange bucket just like it :D
