 Hi Ive just joined the forum on the back of the TV series this week. Im a kennel owner from Sheffield and Ive been heads up to the stars for a few years now. The interview with Col Hadfield was truly inspirational. Im also an amateur photographer and ive just ordered the bits to connect my camera to my telescope so watch this space. The Orion Nebula is brilliant through my pair of WW2 field binoculars and Ive been enjoying the view of Jupiters moons with the naked eye.

Hi, Nekrench, and welcome to SGL! If you are interested in astrophotography I can recommend the book 'Making Every Photon Count' by Steve Richards. This has become something of an essential introduction and guide to astrophotography, and leads the reader through the various stages to taking and processing images. I have been an amateur photographer for around 40 years and found this book a great introduction to this new subject. (Available from 'FLO' - click on the link at the top of the page).
