Conditions in the UK and increasingly poor health. Have made chances thin on the ground for any decent work. But these are some of the better ones I managed When I did get out. Shots Taken  On Oct 7th, 30TH. Hoping there will be more ?

GRS Dec 10th. All with Skywatcher 300p DMK21AU618.AS Camera. Astronomik Type 2 RGB Filters.

2013 proved to be a funny year for planetary imaging with Saturn at only 25 degrees alt but Jupiter at a whopping 60 and yet my best image was of Saturn!

We had a golden week in early June for Saturn with very good seeing (if only Jupiter was at opposition then!)

First 2 images are Saturn taken 6th June using QHY5L-II mono and colour cams with SW Auto Dob 250 & 3x tv barlow.

Mono red filter :

Here is a North polar projection showing the Hex storm :

Couple of Jupiters taken late 2013 with colour QHY cam :

This taken a few mins later showing Europa, Ganymede (with shadow) and Callisto:

My best Jupiter so far is one of the first taken with a monochrome camera: the ASI130MM with filter wheel.

Jupiter 12 01 2013 RGB

A slightly later effort did not fare as well: much noisier

The first attempt with the DMK21 was scuppered by very bad seeing, but hopefully this year will show a better result

AMAZING!!! Did you have the 300p on a tracking mount when you took these?? Also how did you get the image so large? (I use a 200p dob and dslr 3x barlow no tracking)
