Flame & Horsehead

Be gentle with me here This is the first time I have managed to capture these objects. 1min exposures 8) unguided with my DSI. I think this is only a few stacked as it started to rain without my noticing (I was inside thawing out ).

Anyway for a first attempt I am happy, not going to win any awards and I know I need more subs but as I say rain put a stop to that tonight

Also discovered that the IR filter fell out of the DSI! I assume thats why it has a red cast to it? ALso forgot to mention I used my new UHC Filter with this.

I was really pleased when I saw the flame come up on screen but the icing on the cake was whilst processing I saw the horsehead pop out!

As you say I need a lot more subs, next time eh?

I think I may have got all I can from this image. More exposures needed! Still, I am very pleased I did manage to capture it at all.
